Over nearly three decades, Omofuma held several key positions, each of which contributed significantly to Shell’s operations across Nigeria, Cameroon, and Gabon.
His last role at Shell was as the Senior Manager for Governance, Risk, and Assurance Management in 2017, where he was responsible for formulating, implementing, and reporting on the Shell Control Framework. This framework encompassed Corporate Governance, Risk Management, and Assurance Processes, ensuring that Shell’s operations in Nigeria, Gabon, and Cameroon adhered to the highest standards of governance and risk management.
From 2008 to 2012, Omofuma served as the Ethics & Compliance Manager, overseeing the policy framework, rollout, documentation, and embedding of Ethics and Compliance Programs within Shell Nigeria and Gabon. Earlier in his career, Omofuma served as Business Processes Manager at Shell Nigeria Exploration & Production Company (SNEPCO) from 2004 to 2005, where he was instrumental in integrating major business units under Joint Venture and Profit Sharing Agreements. His role as Business Finance Manager for Major Projects Shallow Offshores from 2002 to 2003 saw him overseeing project finances, budgeting, and procurement processes, further solidifying his expertise in financial management.
